boxpin
One of my 850 glove box latch broke shut. After getting it opened and locating the problem I found a super simple permanent fix that I thought I would share. Here is the problem, the peg off this piece broke. The fix: 1. Find a nail that is the same diameter as the pin that broke. Grind down the head so it will fit inside the other half of the part. 2. Drill through the part and insert the nail. 3. Trim the nail so it clears the screw mount when the latch is in place. 4. That is it. The design of the mechanism puts pressure on the part so the nail will not(cannot) back out and it keeps the part pressed up against the latch.
