cupdriver91
You shouldn't have lost any of that just changing the battery something else in causing your problem.
tg1963
I was told by a dealer that the software needs to be reloaded and updated.
Matty Moo
Check the power to fuse 8 and 9. You might have a goofy relay on the CEM. Read the codes with Vida and post a screenshot here.

FCP Euro
+1 I have replaced my battery on all my Volvos and never had this issue. Even on my S60R. Something else must have happened or at the very least, something shorted out and erased the software, which would be very odd.
Ihatespeedbumps
Sounds like the low side of the network failed to start. The easiest thing you can do is perform a hard reset. Remove the negative battery cable and hold it to the positive cable/terminal for about one minute. Re-connect and see if that gets things moving again. limzinfo
I was told by a dealer that the software needs to be reloaded and updated. That could be the only solution. What ridiculous is that not just only the labor costs but also the software (fireware) costs.

oragex
I've read that a voltage surge might blow electrical components(?) and that it's recommended to set the key to II before reconnecting the battery.
