fattmatt805
i got an SC-900 a while back with what i thought was the factory code tag with it, it has the radio code and key code. when i hooked the radio up today and imput the code (5645) it told me "code repeat" so i put it in again, did that about 3 times and it displayed "system off" so i assume this must be the wrong code. the numbers on the top are 3533787-4969. then its 9726, then it says serial number and underneath it written in pen is 19216396. on the bottom of the unit there is S/NO. AL E510 V 07 18426 M 7 07 18426 E. any help would be greatly appreciated, i really want to use this thing!
Kevin.
Call a local dealer or go in, they will give you the code. Just have the radio on hand. To reset the radio, have the key in at least position two for something like 30-45 mins then you can try again

You don't have to go to the dealer, just call up the service department of your local dealership. The radio code is different for every individual head unit. Stormtrooper1
And the dealer should do it for free. Some try to charge you. Please don't pay.
survolvo
I've read that you can hold "6" for a few seconds and it will reset the radio into a test mode for a few minutes, than will prompt for the code again. Not sure if this is true or if you can do it if the radio is locked out. I have not tried it myself.

BTW if your local dealer wont give you the code just email VCNA they will

tighe
Instructions for resetting an SC-901 from a 2001 C70. Unsure if it's the same as a 900, but possibly. To enter the code After installation or when power has been disconnected, `CODE' appears in the display when the set is switched on. Enter the 4-digit code using the preset buttons. If the correct code is entered, the set is ready to use. If you enter an incorrect code, you must enter the correct code again from the beginning. Incorrect code If an incorrect code has been entered, `CODE Repeat' is displayed. Enter the correct code. After three unsuccessful coding attempts, the set will lock and remain locked for two hours. `System Off' appears in the display. During this waiting period: · the battery must be connected · the ignition key must be turned to position I · the unit must be turned on Make sure the headlights are turned off to help prevent battery drain (please refer to page 24 for information on turning the headlights off). Enter the correct code after the two hours have elapsed.
Piston Slapper
I'd be more than happy to check the code for you but nothing is coming up for that serial number, not sure if you copied them down wrong or what. If you'd like the easiest thing to do would be to just send me some pictures of the stickers and stamped number.
