SDkid605
What temperature thermostat is required for a 2001 Volvo XC70. I have seen different temperatures availeable and am wondering if there is a better choice according to climate or what. Thanks
cupdriver91
Don't know where you are located, but if it is a cold climate choose a hotter temperature rating,if hot choose a colder rated one
Keaton85
Haha why? Outside tempature has nothing to do with it. Your engine will run at a set tempature, it doesn't care if it's -30 or 95 degrees! As long as the cooling system is working it will regulate internal temp just the same. I believe stock was 87C but then Volvo switch to 90C for everything. I like running at 90C personally... Either will be fine.

It doesn't matter to the car but if it's -30c outside I want the warmest air I can in the car.So it does matter.
Keaton85
5.4degrees difference, I really don't think you will notice that much. But I could be wrong.
