andyb5
Friend has a 99 S70 AWD that is throwing a P0014 code. From what I can tell, this is related to the cam position sensor or VVT solenoid. The timing belt was done at 105k a few years ago, so I don't believe the belt is a tooth off or anything like that. Not sure about the maintenance history (mainly PCV//sludge buildup), but his car is driven with a light foot and is in pretty good overall shape. Any thoughts/tricks to troubleshoot parts before throwing some new parts at the problems? Thanks!
FCP Euro
I would check the resitance of the cam sensors and see if it is still good. If it is the original unit, it could be going out which would give you the code.
