atefitty
I want to replace the motor out of a 1997 850. I located a motor from a 1998 v70. Are there any issues with swapping these? I am unsure about the EGR differences if any. The yard says the motor was tested hot comp at 195..
Keaton85
Identical bolt up motors, not a single difference in the slightest. Only thing to consider is 2.3L (HPT) or 2.4L (LPT). You have the 2.3L and the 98 is an unknown unless you know it's a GLT, R, or T5?
atefitty
no, I have 2.4L B5254s coming out and 1998 v70 B5254s motor going in...both non turbo..
Keaton85
Just assumed it was the R since you never stated otherwise. Anyway, Doesn't matter if you have EGR, SAS or whatever, the motor has no effect of the surrounding non-sense.
