FINN
Wanted to see the consensus here. I used OEM gaskets and applied them on wet. They ended up leaking. So I'm thinking of putting them on completely dry.

mattwebb502
not meaning to hijack, but am I correct in understanding that Volvo actually used _GASKETS_ for the squirters? I had been picturing never-need-to-be-serviced banjos and copper washers or a press fit into the casting. Is this something I should be concerned with replacing while I have everything apart? Anybody know the part number? EDIT: and how does one ever know that they are leaking? We are talking about the bore/piston squirters, correct? s_moneh
it only applies to non RN motors. where u can access the squirters from the outside. if you have the entire motor apart u can do it but if ur not boring the cylinders then they dont have to come out and u dont really have to replace them

Falcone
I don't use the gaskets. I use the cam cover pink sh!t. Never had a problem. 5 years on mine, and two others i've build are going on 3ish.
