Downpipe Build

Recommended Posts

ok i'm going to a shop tomorrow to talk about having a downpipe built for my 00'R. What are some things you guys would suggest. Should I do 3.5 down or 3" and what type of cat have you guys had success with. any other tips would be appreciated, trying to have full exhaust set up and done by the end of summer

ok yeah i figured with the AWD it would be too tight for the 3.5 and i don't get E Checks where i live. what about codes being thrown without a cat? Also what about heat wrapping it? i was reading on some of the subaru forums and they seemed to go both ways about it. just wondering if anyone had done that

Wow Lookforjoe, you have the coolest pictures. As for the OP like said before 3" is plenty enough the cat I used was from a T-5 S60 that I opened up to 3" on both ends. Perhaps not the very best flowing but does pretty good and it's quality as it's an OEM product.

Lookforjoe your stuff on here is always amazing, thanks for the advice on that. going to see the guy today and also get a qoute on a exhaust for the car also. have to see price wise how it plays out since i also need to do sway bars which i think are a better upgrade then the exhaust

ok stopped by two places today and they seemed completely confused by the thought of doing a downpipe. the one guy even said no where close even does mandrel bending (don't believe that for a second) now i'm wondering if anyone know's of anywhere in michigan (preferably around ann arbor or south east michigan) that could do one for under the price of just getting one online from eurosport tuning
