kennta
Hi I´ve searched the forum but I can´t find a good answer.... (only that the s60 s.w. throws a code about the stereo and the airbag is of another sort...) My steering wheel is sticky and disgusting so I want to change it. I have changed the stereo to one thats supports steering wheel-buttons. Questions Is there another volvo steering wheel with buttons and a similar airbag I can change to? (Should also fit 850, S70 and so on.....) I also don´t know the facts about airbags but depending of the importance I guess it should be possible to fit whatever steering wheel I want and remove the airbag and replace it with a resistance? Please let me know if this is a good idea. Thank you in advance

kennta
Thank you but since it´s classic the interior is "aluminum". I don´t think it will match with wood. Du you know if any other fits?
floggingmike
any 99- s/v/c70 wheel will fit. You have a 2000 V70 Classic or an R? Didn't think classics came with Aluminum trim.... I had that wheel in my car with the aluminum trim but swapped it out for the stock R wheel (thicker with thumbgrips)

I had that wheel in my car with the aluminum trim but swapped it out for the stock R wheel (thicker with thumbgrips) The thing is that there was a construction error with theese steering wheels so Volvo gave extra warranty/ goodwill on changing theese wheels. There´s a lot of threads to read about this.... people trying to clean the wheels but the problem is the amoniak in the handsweat that resolves the rubber.... In sweden all the classics came with the aluminum trim.
floggingmike
Well like I said just look for any 99- x70 wheel and swap it. You know how to swap the steering wheels right?
