Hi Everyone.

I haven't been on here in a few years, and unfortunately just sold the last of my Volvos, (a cursed 01 V70XC...Good riddance), but I wanted to stop by and see how everyone is doing. It's kinda crazy to see what some of the older guys have been up to with their builds. In any case, some of you may remember I had an S70 T5 during the time when people were having to build their FMIC from CX Racing piping and Precision intercoolers. I'm not sure if people are still doing that or someone has finally come up with a mass produced design.

I ended up selling that car after my wife rear ended somebody in it while I was on deployment. I used that money plus some I had saved to buy a WRX. I put what seemed to be an endless amount of money into that car, made it moderately fast, and traded it for a 62 Chevy Nova.

I still have the Nova, and after about 3 years of owning it, have replaced nearly everything in it. The engine was swapped out for a high compression 385cu small block with a small shot of nitrous. Ive gone through 4 TH350 transmissions, and I just got rid of the 10 bolt rear in favor of a Ford 9" setup.

When it comes down to it, car guys are car guys (and girls). It's a universal thing, and it's all so much fun.

Well, I hope you all are doing well and enjoy your day.

just so you know, I don't think anyone has hit 300hp with a 16T yet LOL!

You must be having lots of fun with that Nova! Drop a LSX in there, and the fun really starts to happen. Many, many power options.

I'll see if I can take a few pics. Its great to see some familiar usernames and a few new ones. I'm glad this community has stuck together.

Oh, and no LS engines for me! They are wildly popular, dependable, and tuneable, but also pricey...plus I like the noastalgic value of gen I engines. They are cheap, abundant, and fun.

Hey Ryan. :)

Mitch,

Man, it's been a while hasn't it? I hope you and the family are doing well. I live with one of your old school surfing buddies now over in the Colony on Hollywood Beach. Call me up sometime.
