Need some input Mobil1 extended performance←Hhhhmmm, they claim 15,000 miles protection from this oil. Doesn't Amsoil (AKA AmScam) claim that? I'm skeptic completely and totally. If you're interested in oil stuff though, I suggest you check out the Bob Is The Oil Guy forums. There are some people on there that are absolutely obsessed know-it-alls about oil (Yeah, I don't get the fascination with it either). I am using Motul 300V 5w-40 right now and I absolutely love it. Really good stuff. It'll run ya about $10 a quart though .

WhiteT5
Just wondering why you are calling Amsoil a scam ???←Amsoil is a decent oil, but they hype it up like crazy to make it sound like the best thing ever and overcharge for it. I believe either Rich or Charles has brought it up before.
JDELUNA
Actually I use Amsoil but what I pay for it, the cost is pretty much the same as Mobile 1.

JDELUNA
Paying ~$2.50 a quart for Mobil 1. ←Wow what store are you buying Mobile one for that price and are you sure it is the FULL Synthetic ??? Also I pay about $4.50 a quart for the Amsoil European formula 5W-40. God Bless. :)
Che'_Moderator
Amsoil and Mobil are about the same in my book. Neither are true synthetic though. If you not running weird fuels or very high load mobil is more than enough.
