lookforjoe
Nice!Is the small intermediate can to allow for drainage of condensate? I set mine up that way. Makes sense that the drain back is happier above oil level :)

quiksilver
Extremely impressive.Looks like some aero work needs to be done though. That lip doesn't look overly attached on the driver's side and the hood has lifted about an inch at the front? How stable is the 855 at those speeds? VulvaS40T4
855 was good to drive. Yesterday i installed my engine and before firing it up put some coolant in system. Well coolant leaked out from block cracks outside under intake manifold. Now engine removed and will make new darton engine this winter and but car in winter storage. This is motorsport... VulvaS40T4
Do you know what caused yours? Did you first blow headgasket?
Simply Volvo
Such a shame, sorry to hear that Marko I know you'll get it up and running though again, stronger and faster than ever. Looking forward to future results. Will you have to shave the head 0.1mm now? Im assuming you can reuse the pyramid rings, but will need a new modified composite head gasket?I tried emailing ProEngines, but they never responded to me.~Matt
NitroX5
Nono, its not performance related.. It has to be caused by frozen coolant :SIt was a 2.0 V70R junkyard block, what I fully rebuilt. Rebored to 83mm, shimmed, ported headt, etc...I have never seen this before so I wasn't prepared to check the block side for cracks :SI didn't notice that 1.5cm crack on the block, also when I torqued the head there was a loud snap sound. Later it tuned out that was the moment when the harline crack expanded. After the hard work on that engine and 20 hours of installation on that day, everything ready to go... it was a pain to see coolant coming out on the bottom. Tried to weld it wihout success.
VulvaS40T4
My engine was now with completely stock headgasket. We havent yet tested those pyramid rings with success but maybe later friend will test.NitroX5: My block did same loud snap sound when head was torqued down. Friend engine did same thing and same sound. Now we know...Our blocks both had headgasket failure first and then rebuild and cracked from intake side.
