My Volvo S40 T4 700hp with Holset

This is special silicone hose for oil with 4.5mm / 3 ply wall. My friend has used this without problems for many years. Normal silicone hose wont work as turbo oil drain. I have also thermal heat protection over that silicone now which prevents that heat wont affect it.

On those pictures its just hose without thermal protection. Many high powered cars here in finland drain from catchcan to above oil level without problems. It seems that it is better to drain above than under oil on high powered standing mile car. When drain is under oil it will rise with that hose when pressure rises on crankcase. When drained above this wont happen even drain wont be as good as it would under. Stock drain is under and it works fine on stock cars but on standing mile 35s WOT its little bit different. :)

19mm this hose:

Wow. That's some crazy acceleration.

How is that KTS hx40 wheel going? Is it out of breath at 2.8 bar? Any plans to crank it up to 3 bar? Estimated horsepower / torque right now?

Any clutch slip?

I'm really looking forward to tuning this turbo, especially on e85.

Is your EGT reading still off?

Yes with this boost and ignition timing 700hp 7750rpm and 700nm 5500rpm is pretty close. :)

Clutch still works great and only tires slip even in this acceleration.

No turbo is not yet out of breath. Will possible test 3bar boost someday but now this is nice.

EGT gauge reads still 50-100c too much.

Man, what compression ratio does this engine have, and what timing are you using ? You're using boosting higher than a diesel engine, it's crazy ! :)

On the other hand, hats off to you, I've been showing movies of your car to my drooling friends way before I registered here. Glad to finally meet the guy behind all this.

Keep it up !

Yes big turbine housing and big turbine wheel and exhaust manifold pressure is much lower than intake manifold pressure. Then engine acts like natural aspirated with good volumetric efficiency. Thats one of the reasons why im still using stock T4 wastespark coils. :)

No ignition misfires. Also E85 is great fuel. :D

Folks are usually messing up static engine CR and proness to detonation without knowing the real dynamic compression ration whereas cam profile has a huge influence and which has big role of to the used ignition advance vs. static CR and fuel used. Vulva has pretty much different cams than stock ones causing lower dynamic CR.
