rmorse
Hey guys, I need to replace the rear shocks on my girlfriend's 1998 V70. I want to go as cheap and as comfortable as possible. The car has 255k miles on it, and we're going to get rid of it at 300k miles. It is the car we take on road trips though, so I would like the shocks to be (relatively) good. Any suggestions on brands? I'm trying to keep it cheap, but I also don't want junk. What are my option here?
Piston Slapper
Bilstein tourings or Sachs if you want to keep the nice squishy luxury car ride.
burnout8488
Rockauto has SenSen rear shocks P/N 12130147 for $27.79 a piece. Only reason I mention it is because you have a set mileage at which you want to get rid of the car, and these would probably last that long. They're so easy to install you could just return them if you didn't like them, it's worth trying for the price. I've never read anything bad about SenSen despite their ridiculously cheap prices. Had a set on my old Outback and they were just as firm as the OE KYBs.
erikv11
I was going to say the same thing about SenSen. I would go for it.
