theunderlord Posted February 11, 2005 Author Report Share Posted February 11, 2005 Ok, to settle up the confusion.. let's talk about what it actually took to make this happen. 1) US SPEC 03-04 C&) headlights are H11. Canadian and E-Spec are H7. (thanks Mark)2) So, I had H7 HID bulbs in the car... I bought these Jeweled headlights (the full housings people!) Brett tried to warn me that they wouldn't fit.. I didn't really care..3) We all remember what happened when I just put the clear glass over my stock S70 headlight housings.. (getting the finger, people yelling at me in traffic) DO NOT TRY THIS. 4) So, after kicking and screaming, I was able to source some H11 6K HID bulbs, I bought them, they showed up, I cut and spliced them into my existing HID ballast system, and poof.. they work and look amazing. 5) The IDIOT LIGHT is gone! (almost the best part of the install) 6) Total cost for everything = $ 440 Dollars. 7) My H7 4300K HID bulbs are for sale.. there's a thread in For Sale all about 'em. Will Posted February 12, 2005 Report Share Posted February 12, 2005 i just installed 8000k HID in my land rover discovery. i was stopped in front of a corolla. i could see the back of the guys head, and his eyes, since the lights were reflecting off his mirrors...and then i could see the back of the guys head in front of the corolla as well. needless to say he was pissed. i tried to give him a bottle of hateorade but he sped off. :angry: Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
