BlackBeast
I've bought a 19T that came with a 6cm2 straight flanged turbine/exhaust housing and I would like to fit a 7cm2 angled turbine/exhaust housing. Second hand angled housings have become increasingly sparse in the UK at a decent price anyway and after many hours scouring the net I still cant find a definitive answer as to which TD04 7cm2 angled housings will fit a 19T. I have seen it whispered that as long as the turbo is a TD04HL and the exhaust housing is angled, then it will be 7cm2 and it will fit the 19T. So, the TD04HL-13T from an 02 S60 2.4 Turbo will be the same as the 16T/19T angled exhaust housing?
NEU
As far as I know all TD04HL housing will fit a 19t, there is a 6cm2 and a 7cm2 angled housing. >Here is a good recent thread on the differneces. Visually you can tell the difference by the inlet. 6 is narrower then the 7.
TryingBe
All TD04HL housing will fit all TD04HL turbo.
Chrispy_T
Any TD04HL housing will fit, but you have to watch whether you get a 6cm^2 or 7cm^2. I'll see if I can find the thread that explains the difference if no one else posts it first. Well, I'm late. The difference is in the shape of the inlet to the turbine. The larger one has a more rounded(really it's angled at like 45*) shape going around the turbine inlet. Only thing required is that the up-pipe flange is the volvo style and the housing is a TD04HL. The HL is important. That means that the inducer diameter of the turbine is 2.05''. This thread explains this quite well. The only fault is that TD04 housing come in 5cm^2, 6cm^2, and 7cm^2 housings. I'm sure there may be more but those are the well known ones. The 5cm^2 came on some Saabs mostly.
