2000 Volvo V70 Xc (Converted To Fwd) Smoking White After Turbo Replacement

About a year ago, I bought a 2000 V70 XC. It has been a bit of a problem since, but this last one has me stumped. Maybe I am overthinking it. During the initial round of repairs, one of the exhaust ports (one immediately off the back of the engine) began to leak in the middle of one of the ducts. It was going to be a doozy to replace, but we managed to find someone to weld the crack shut and all seemed well for about a week. Then, it started smoking a thick, viscous white smoke that smelled like burning oil/gas. It lost power. This happened about a month before a move. We towed it to a new location, then about 2 months later, I was able to get the PCV valve Oil trap replaced. There was plenty of gunk built up and it looked spent. After that, we continued to see smoke. I found a used Turbocharger locally and replaced that myself as well. There was thrown oil all over the inside, but no sign of an oil leak from the exhaust port coming from the engine. All in all, this took about 4-5 months. During that time, it did sit (although we moved it every week to be sure). We've since run it for a while, changed the oil and coolant, and let it sit again.

I started it again today and the initial start was clean, despite needing a bit of a kick with the gas pedal. It ran for about 3 minutes with no issues. So I turned it off, added coolant, and started again. Within 30 or 40 seconds of revving, it began smoking again. It gets worse while revving. However, the power seems to be normal again. I've heard it can take time to burn off the oil in the exhaust system, but does this need to be done while the car is being driven, or can it be done during idle? Should I try driving it around for a while and see, or is it worth it to take it to the Volvo guy in town for few hundred in diagnostics?
