Zappo
Yes, this would work on the 850. Suspension is the same. The eBay for sale add lists the front springs as 300 lb., so maybe they softened up the springs since you purchased. My D2s are 600 front, 450 rear. As I have said, the roads I drive are relatively smooth, so daily driving it isn't too bad. If it was full on race car, I would run stiffer springs. I took a wire brush on a drill and cleaned up all the threads. There is way too much paint inside and it tends to flake off, which will jam the threads when you try to make adjustments. Cleaned it all up and coated it with anti-seize. Same thing you should be doing for your axles unless you just want to replace the wheel bearings at the same time. We don't salt roads here, so no rust issues for the most part.
TIZIO AKA 1 HND MEC
Would this kit work for an 850? I'm not well versed in the differences between the 850 and S70 in terms of suspension setups. Yes will work. Mine have worked very well, I installed them with the eBay pillow ball mounts also, and I ended up swapping the front springs out for a set of 300lb 8in Afco springs from jegs because the stock TA springs were far to stiff for daily driving, in my opinion. Other than the springs for my uses, the only thing I haven't liked about them is that they have rotted out like crazy. Seriously, it's terrible. And I rust checked them like mad before I installed them. Very disappointing in that regard TA's are zinc/chrome ? coated? For curiosity during install I scratch a bit one coil and one spring, well the paint on the coils are like the 4 time thicker then springs one. TIZIO AKA 1 HND MEC
As today with new rubber all around, rolled (cut) rear arch on the rear. Added a home made rear struts tower bar to stiff up the rear, car driver like a train on rails, I am very pleased with the choice I made on the coilover's. Or do you mean the JRZ coilovers that are $2200+ for just the fronts, and not available for the rear of a FWD model?
