dougy
Just out of curiosity what is going to be the cost of the job? are they doing jams? any plans to color match the engine bay? i've been told materials ...paint,clear ect....is about 600$ and labor 1400$ to 1000$ now jugging by the way my interior looks ...all door are coming off and jams and trunk and hood will be painted and engine bay .5inch in past fender line since it is nice and dark paint I don't even what them to go there. At least have him take out the carpets and seats and clean it all up. Do you have a time estimate on when it will be done? no man...i don't work like that...I can fix anything...so i let them do what they do...at the end we will talk deductions if it is not done like we talked...here is the kicker ...he said this Friday it will be done....im ready ...lolol
matt b
Given the state of their work space, it doesn't look like they care if things get messy or dirty. I hope it comes out looking perfect, nothing worse than a botched paint job.
Kit Vexed
relax ya'll, it's HIS thread and he'll post at his own pace.. if ya'll didnt have time to waste, you certainly wouldn't be on VS. nobody is forcing anybody to look here, nor comment. i dont see anybody complaining about boxpin's 5th clutch/transmission swap as it's happening incrementally so what's the problem here now?? anyways... Dougy, in lieu of you needing a paintjob, i did like the dark grey bro. it's a pretty unique color for the 850. sonic blue never belonged on that generation. im glad you're at least leaving the trim original; i never liked when people paint-matched it. i am excited to see how it turns out and hope you get a great finish! regards bro.
