Phil94850
The Previous owner installed a 3.5mm headphone jack on my factory sc-900 HU. I plugged in the headphone jack to my android phone but I cant figure out how to get the HU to play the music coming out of my cell phone. How do I change the mode on the HU or do I have to have one of the cassette adapters in the HU to play out of the headphone jack ?
Fudge_Brownie
As in there is a 3.5mm socket on the face of the unit? Have you plugged headphones in to it? Maybe it's a line-out, not in.
db130
if the aux jack is hooked up to the tape deck's Left and Right input circuit, then the aux jack won't work until the head unit switches to TAPE mode. as you suspected, you'll need to find a tape adapter(or any old tape) to switch. i've done something similar on a P2's HU-613 radio. Phil94850
Yeah its hooked into the circuit board. I'll have to get an old cassette and try it. Thank you..
Commander Riker
I did this mod to an SC900 Took apart a tape adapter to keep in the player as a dummy tape. Works alright.
