gilber33
Geezus man. You apparently need to get a larger net to catch more breaks, because you haven't caught any.... dad jokes.

boxpin
That is oil and happens now and then. Seems low RPMs in first or second gear trigger it more than higher RPMs. I am not losing any coolant and nothing in the oil. It goes away then comes back. More so on right turns. I think its the seal on the turbo.
lookforjoe
Did you try venting the crankcase from the dipstick? CC system can easily push oil past the turbo oil control ring at idle if there is a restriction. Even if it is the turbo, the drain tube sizing can be a problem, and the breather system. My breather is a full 1" into a ProVent. Keep in mind that was idling. Even when my rings were cracked it didnt do this.
Commander Riker
Yeah, I'm going to go with turbo seal. Sorry to see it man. It looks exactly like my K24 when it went. Was kinda random at first... then just got more and more frequent, especially at idle. Is it possible any of the bit of cracked rings got to it in the oil? fwdGTP
Damn man, that sucks. Hopefully you get it figured out, but I would assume it's turbo related.
Chrispy_T
It's most likely turbo seals. When I burnt up a ring on the exhaust side and, at a different time, pinched the o-ring on the intake side, I had the same symptoms but not quite as much oil burning. Turbo rebuilds are cheap and easy enough.
lookforjoe
Don't buy a cheap rebuild kit. Kamak Dynamic / Kinugawa is usually OK The first thing to check is end play on the turbo. If you have excessive float that would indicate the thrust bearing is also toast, and that can cause the oil control ring seat to wear, which will never seal no matter how many times you replace it. That is exactly what happened with my 20g.
