burnout8488
GOT ONE I am looking for an early S80 ABS module. When installed into my '99, this module enabled a flashing traction light when wheelspin occurs, which my original '99 module did not do. But, my current S80 module has failed beyond repair so I am searching for another one. I will get the part # off of the one on the car to match up with the potential new one. I will consider both known good and known bad modules, as long as the bad module is still factory sealed, in which case I will send it directly to a rebuilder. Thanks! -Alex
billy780
I have to check but I may have one on a long shot.
Matty Moo
How has your stc module failed beyond repair? Even the most hacked up messes can usually be fixed as long as the circuit board isn't destroyed or coils broken off.
burnout8488
Bingo. I cracked it open to attempt a resolder as a last resort, and the screwdriver slipped. Ruined a trace on the PCB. :-( (The case was already open from a previous rebuild, I wasn't trying to freshly crack it with a screwdriver :-)
Matty Moo
I have one that is internally perfect but does not look good on the outside as somebody tried to get in but never made full penetration. Now functionally perfect but not pretty. You guys have to quit destroying these things, they're beginning to get scarce.

I "screwed" up. :-( Sucks because my first rebuild came out flawless with a perfect cut and reseal. Does that mean you have that one FS? If so, is it something that can be resealed despite the cosmetic issue?

It's already sealed up, I've been running it in the car for the past month. If you like to pop your hood at car shows it isn't going to be pretty though. I can pull it tomorrow and snap a pic of it. I also have another that has a lower bolt sleeve that is trashed out, that one looks 100% oem once installed. PM me your number and I can text them to you. Your original module is TRACS, the one you have now is STC.
burnout8488
Cool, will PM number. Since '99-00 S70 vehicles use an "STC" switch, is it really STC? Or just the new name for TRACS in '99-00? Interested in both modules, but I am a habitual hood-popper, so I'll have to make a judgement call. Just to confirm, these are both S80 modules?
