boxpin
I am resealing the angle gear and am stuck. The driveline wont come out of the angle gear. All the bolts are out but it wont budge. Any tips?
Fran9690
If you look at the side of the flange opposite where the driveshaft sits, you will see the threaded bolt holes that go through the driveshaft and through the flange. You will also see 1 or 2 holes that don't go through the driveshaft but actually just expose the cap of the joint. Find a bolt just small enough that won't thread into the flange so that you can fit it in the hole and touch the driveshaft joint itself. Then take an air hammer with a chisel long enough to reach that bolt and hammer away and it will break free. That's what I do. I suppose if you don't have an air chisel, a hammer and chisel would work fine too if it's not too rusted. Hope this helps.
boxpin
Thanks, I got it with wiggling and a pulling back on the drive shaft at the same time. It finally came loose.
