Speedy!
The rear track is intentionally shorter than the front to help reduce understeer and because the suspension allows the wheels to move horizontally quite a bit. I also like how it looks with the wide front grabbing the road. Maybe 10mm won't affect the handling much, but I would like to consider more choices before giving in and getting spacers. I also read having spacers on the front wheels will affect the scrub radius and could potentially mess up the geometry of the front suspension. Although I actually don't know what the offset of my wheels are (either of them) so maybe I would actually need to use spacers. Since I need hub rings to fit these wheels, I think it would be easier to have hub centric spacers with an oversized outer center bore. Does anyone have any knowledge on the effects of having spacers on a fwd car? I'm running 15mm spacers up front on stock wheels, none on the rear. It helps turn in and the car is less prone to under steer versus the same suspension setup without the spacing. I don't have adjustable coil overs currently, so I haven't been able to play around with corner weight. On this setup, handling can be a handful but it seems the fastest way. aharres
BTW, the wheel offset spec is cast into the wheel. "6.5Jx16x43" is cast into the back of a spoke. Does that mean my offset is 43?
Tightmopedman9
Correct. 6.5 inch width, 16" rim, +43mm offset
lookforjoe
Get stud conversion kit off eBay. $20 or so, and converts from 12.75 to 12.5, so much wider range of wheel nuts are available. Makes it much easier when you have to ditch the rotor guide pin. LugNutGuys, I think is the vendor that carries them. Are the wheels hub centric? aharres
Are the wheels hub centric? The wheels are hub centric, but the center bore is too big.
aharres
Ok my team dynamics have many things cast into the wheels. I see a "7Jx17 CH" which means 7" width and 17" diameter, but what does the CH mean? There is another marking which is extremely difficult to read, but it looks like a blob followed by a +45. Does this mean the offset is +45? So that would mean the inside lip of the wheel is sitting 2mm + 1/4" closer to the inside? Seems like I will need 10mm spacers to avoid rubbing on turns. This would push the inside edge of the wheel out ~1.5mm from my stock wheels, and push the outer edge out ~15mm. Is all of this correct?

aharres
What I mean is my hub center bore is too small for the wheel, so I will either use hub adapters or spacer adapters.

Yellow, I believe these are your wheels I got from motaguR. What did you do to get the rear wheels to fit over the dust caps?
Kit Vexed
The wheels are hub centric, but the center bore is too big. i've been running TD 1.2s for over 2 years now.. what's the problem? are these NOT for volvo? i ordered mine 5X108 with 65.1mm center bore. they're perfect. im even running spacers.. I don't know which application these wheels are for, but the bolt pattern is correct, and the offset is close. Yours are clearing the grease cap on your rear hubs? Kit Vexed
100% i've run them with and without spacers in the rear.. have your center bore machined a mm or 2. or dremel it yourself to just clear.
aharres
I think I've decided I'm just going to run spacers with hub-centric adapters. an 8mm spacer will put the inside edge of the wheel at the same distance as stock.
