aharres
Hello. I have koni orange shocks up front, and bilstein hd's/ipd overload springs in the rear. I feel like the front dives a lot under braking and cornering and I feel that I could benefit from having stiffer springs all around. The thing is, I don't want my car to be lowered much at all. I don't like the look where the rear wheels are tucked under the fender. I would also like to not screw up my suspension geometry by lowering too much. I read that eibach springs hardly lower the vehicle at all even though they advertise a 1.2" drop. Does anyone know which springs will lower the car as little as possible? Yes, I read the thread where someone posted all of the advertised drop numbers for all the manufacturers, but many of those numbers they advertise are wrong. phunktified
eibach, yes, but to warn you, the rears from the set go too low on a wagon imo, I ended up putting stock T5 sedan springs in the rear, eibachs up front, seems to be perfect for DD, front barely scoots over most parking barriers, and I can carry cargo or tow my trailer without the rear being totally dumped. Here is a pic, imagine the rear an extra 3/4" lower with the eibachs...
laird
I just replaced my Eibachs/Yellows with anIPD/Orange setup. The IPD units are some consideable lower than the Eibachs. i didn't think the Eibachs lowered the car much and the rear less so. They are very stiff which actually keep the front lip out of the ground better than stock. If you are interested, Let me know if you are interested, I'd sell them. aharres
The stance looks great! How many miles are on the springs? I have bilstein hd's in the rear and koni oranges in the front. Do you think the oranges will be firm enough to control the stiffer front springs?
Fran9690
I run Koni yellow adjustables on full soft and from the Koni website, the oranges are the same firmness as the yellows how I have them set. No problems here with my lowering springs. Wouldn't be a problem though, because stiffer springs are more predictable it's the soft springs where struts would make more of a difference because they have much more rebound to control and whatnot. laird
I honestly don't know the miles, I've had them a while but you can see from the pics, taken last month when I took them off, that they are in fine shape.

Kevin.
if you can get a set, get some T-5R or 850R springs. Higher spring rate with a smidge of lowering. It's noticeable over stock ride height
laird
I put my Stock R springs on one my S70s a few years ago, they were higher than the s70 springs.

NEU
Use stock springs with Bilstien HDs struts. The HD are STIFF and they lift the front end about 1/2"
aharres
Use stock springs with Bilstien HDs struts. The HD are STIFF and they lift the front end about 1/2"The stock springs are waaaaay too soft. I have ipd 25mm sways, delrin subframe bushings, poly control arm bushings, strut tower brace, ipd overload springs in the rear, koni orange up front, bilstein hd in the rear, and 4 new delta link bushings. The car handles long sweeping corners like a dream, but as soon as i try to fling it around, the front feels very bouncy and dives hilariously during braking. I wouldn't mind being a bit lower, but a 2 inch drop is way too much in my opinion.
