Brad850
Neu I believe the pass mount is technically the front mount. Acorns are really left and right.
troyhyde
I've been keeping an eye on this thread in case any actual content should appear. Just ordered one of these (as OEM replacement for '99 XC70) and was hoping to learn something interesting. Should have it on the doorstep tomorrow and will pop it on, the current mount allows the engine to flop around (all other mounts new/OEM). We'll see if it is a cure all... survolvo
I fill the voids of my mounts with silicone caulking. It does noticeably help with engine movement and longevity. I am curious what is improved on the newer mount and how much it helps.
Brad850
How bad does she vibrate
survolvo
Not bad at all. The silicone still gives enough to absorb vibrations. I tried a butyl rubber caulking and that did vibrate more. I do notice it a bit more in my car that has the manual then in my auto.
NEU
Neu I believe the pass mount is technically the front mount. Acorns are really left and right. You should tell that to IPD and FCP and other cause they all list them as Right/Pass. side (USA). Nobody I've seen list the it as front, they list the front as front. I used Window Weld Poly caulk to fill the gaps and encase it in hard poly. >Here my post from '10 This will transmit a lot of vibration into the car. And since nobody wanted to look up part # to find the answer, part# 8631702 is the 302 version. If you look at IPD they list the mount they sell are the 288 version, (8631698, 9141257, 9209869 8631698V, 8631698, 9141257, 9209869).
