aharres
I have a 4-line goodridge SS brake line kit that I had a shop install for me. When I was doing the 4 delta link bushings, I noticed there is another brake flex line which connects the two trailing arms near the center. Is there an upgraded SS line for this? Or is there a 5 line kit somewhere? On a related note, I will hopefully be doing a 5 speed swap in the near future. Is there an upgraded clutch line? Fudge_Brownie
Uh, if I remember right, you're describing is one of the four. The rear discs don't have flex lines right off the caliper like the fronts. It's hard line there. Both rear flex lines are closer to the delta links. One on top like you're describing, and the other where hard line from the front meets the links. Sounds like they might have forgotten or skipped that one. Before taking my word on it, I'd double check under the car, a diagram, and maybe another person here can confirm too. It's possible they simply forgot, but it'll be interesting if they "forgot" to do the one in a really difficult spot that you'd likely never see.The two #13's in this diagram are near the two rear flex lines:http://www.volvopartswebstore.com/images/parts/volvo/fullsize/GR-68295.jpg
aharres
Interesting. Well my kit only came with 4 lines, and I do, in fact, have 4 upgraded lines on my car. The problem is my car has 5 brake flex lines in total. My setup is a bit different than the picture you showed. The blue dot is where I have the original rubber flex line. At the red dot, however, I have TWO separate brake lines. I'm guessing the abs system on my car controls the two rear wheels independently. Is this specific to the x70 models or is this a change that was brought about in 1999?
Fudge_Brownie
Ah, more like this? http://www.volvopartswebstore.com/images/parts/volvo/fullsize/GR-71206.jpg I didn't realize they changed in 99.In that case, you wanted the 5 hose setup. http://www.ipdusa.com/products/5186/106328-stainless-steel-brake-line-kit-1999-2000-p80-c70-s70-v70-fwd I think some of the people selling these kits are buying the hoses as individual sections in bulk to make the kits. So you might be able to order a single through some of the people selling the kits.
Blockpartie
This is a change that was part of the upgrades for model year 1999 and up. There is a parts diagramm showing the three rear flexible brake lines.

Thank you for solving my mystery.
