dneu
ECU in my 2004 V70R evidently overheats resulting in losing all dasboard instruments, A/C, AT controls, rear windows controls etc. ICarsof scanner displays only message "fault in communication with ECU" iand in some tests "communication faultu between ECU and ECM"tests. After about half an hour everything goes back to normal. ECU does not store any fault codes. There is a little fan in the back of the ECU box, but it seems inefficient. What triggers it and how I can make it running permanently?POther problem the har has is a shuddering when engine accelerates. Perhaps a fuel starvation, but not sure... Midnight Caller
The ECU IS the ECM so I don't quite understand the error read by that tester. Another thing, rear windows are controller by the CEM or REM, thus having no relation to the problems you are having...Maybe you should try a VIDA and DiCE diagnosis ? Avinitlarge
It does sound more like a CEM problem and not the ECU/ECM
