gilber33 Posted June 16, 2015 Report Share Posted June 16, 2015 Hey. I have my parents 04 XC70 that has a distinct creak/groan when accelerating and decelerating. It is NOT axle ping; I just replaced both axle bolts with ones from an XC90. Control arms and ball joints in good shape. Any input is greatly appreciated. I've only had the car for the day, my mom, who drives it most, says it gets worse the hotter the car is. I'm not sure if there is truth to that or not, but that's was she has told me.
