2000 v40: Tools required to press bearing and wheel hub together...

I'm going to be doing the front drivers side wheel bearing on a 2000 v40. I would like to just get the pre-assembled wheel hub and bearing assembly, but rock auto has the kit (un-pressed together) for $43, while the cheapest I've found it pre-assembled is at Autozone for $113.

Any advice? Is it worth it to get it and press it myself? What tools do I need? The cheaper one is Dura International, the more expensive pre-assembled kit is Timken...

After looking at the Timken one's though, the bearing is pre-attached to the wheel-hub, but it would still need to be pressed into the steering knuckle, wouldn't it?

Maybe I should just get the timken bearing by itself, and remove the knuckle/bearing/wheel hub and bring it to a shop? Just have them press out the old ones and press in the new ones? If I'm going to do this, would it save enough labor to be worth it, or should I just have them do everything? (I am already having them do the sway bar links and bushings).

If you don't mind spending a little extra, just have them do it all since you are already taking it there for other repairs. That way, if there is any hiccups along the way, they'll be dealing with it and not you...

On my 2000 V40 I bought a used steering knuckle with hub and had a new SKF bearing pressed in at a shop and then swapped the steering knuckle and hub assembly in one shot.

Problem with pressing them is the steering knuckle is a little thin and they can sometimes crack when forced with a press,  which is why the cheapest alternative was a used one, rather than attempting to do it on the oem unit and risking breakage.
