12v switched source while cranking engine?

I am trying to install my Autometer Cobalt gauge in my 01 xc70. I need a 12v source that stays hot while cranking the engine but is switched off with the key out. I do have access to wiring diagrams but am unsure how to identify these circumstances in the foreign language that is a Volvo fsm. Could someone help me out here? This is my first P2, and I am still learning, so please lay off the "spoon feeding" comments.
