ipd upper engine torque mount alternative

I have a 1999 v70 t5 with the round upper engine torque mount. I have searched everywhere online and it seems that ipd is the only company selling a poly upper engine torque mount for 99+ p80 cars. I have this mount and it seems like a bad design. The metal sleeve is too short to connect to either side of the bracket when tightened down. The slits in the poly seem to loosen up over time and it seems sloppy, but at the same time the vibrations are pretty bad. Lookforjoe has a nice looking mount, but he said it's not available anymore. I was just wondering if there are any alternatives to the ipd one.

I found these two from skandix, but I'm unsure whether they will fit the bracket used on 99-2000 cars. It says it will fit, but powerflex also told me their 612? bushing would fit, but it was too wide and interfered with the bracket. Has anyone tried either one of these?

I don't have any problems with my powerflex bushings. I've had them installed for over 3 years so far. I bought them from viva but if I buy any more powerflex bushings I'll buy them from frank at EurosportTuning to avoid giving Viva any more of my business.

Sorry to crowd up this thread, but did you have to trim your upper arm to make the bushing fit? It doesn't look like it, but you also have the later style mount on the engine. Maybe that allows it to fit without trimming like me and aharres.

Andy, that looks like the mount designed for the volvo 850 , which powerflex insists is made for my car. When I tried to install it, I found that the diameter was maybe 1-2mm too small and allowed some amount of play. I never considered trimming the bracket, but that sounds like a good idea.

I put the 850 mount in my RN mount bracket. The key is to remove the rubber part of the mount, but leave the plastic sleeve. The mount fits snuggly done this way.
