Domo
finished fixing my friends 05 v70r , only to have a fault on my 2000 v70xc the arrow on the dash is coming on, it is NOT flashing just coming on and staying on unless you switch the car off and start again. the transmission does start in a higher gear, I have be reading about problems but most seem to be with a flashing fault light, I'm wondering if this could be a pnp switch problem, I have vida I have scanned it but no codes are present. ErikS
Are you sure you didn't accidentally push the winter mode button, or is it stuck?
Domo
I did not, happened to my wife on Friday she stopped at an intersection then pulled away, and it happened to me yesterday in a parking lot same thing, I checked the trans fluid level it is just over the level on the hot reading, after doing the required pattern to check the level. VolvoCrashTester
When I had this problem on my 850 it was the button. It's more of a 'switch' on those cars and it was very easy to pop out and replace... not sure how it's done on the newer ones.A quick way to check your PNP switch calibration is to put it in reverse and make sure the reverse lights still come on. if it's never been tampered with then it's more likely the W button. My W button on my C70 works fine even though it feels like something was spilled in it at one point so I'm not sure how they're supposed to feel. When the arrow comes on and you start in 3rd, does anything work to turn the arrow off?
