ipd vs h&r springs again

The Eibachs were firmer riding than the IPDs, IMO.  Koni Yellows are much better (more control)  than Oranges,

What is your wheel and tire setup? I have found a huge difference in tire performance.

While the eibachs were definitely an improvement over stock, and if you entered a corner extremely gently, they perform very well. But the springs always felt too floatey, and even though it crashes over the bad bumps (mostly because of the swaybar), it doesn't feel solid enough. The 25mm front sway bars seem like they are way too stiff compared to these springs.

Your question doesn't make any goddamn sense.

Ipd of springs suck. They lower the car that's it.

if you're worried about turn-in etc.. Talk to someone who does track alignments and will guide you in toe, camber and caster.

Stiff doesn't mean better handling it means stiff. Think of factors like cornering power..

Just because Eibach feels "soft" doesn't mean they are handling bad. You even said they improved handling.. But then you compared them to swaybars. Ok..

Koni adjustables are great shocks. Eibachs are excellent springs. But remember your trying to makie a 1.5+ ton soccer mom car handle well.

"The Lowz".. Come on.. Grow up. Speak English like an adult.

Yea I barely noticed anything when I installed my Ipds, other than crashing on big bumps and occasional bouncing out of my seat. The only good thing they did was eliminate the back end from squatting, which I'm sure eibach's will do just as well. Turn in was basically same and the car still dived in hard quick turns.

It looks like I'm the only one on here with all 5 ultra racing braces and omp strut brace. I'll report back when they're installed along with koni yellows, eibachs, ipd sways, poly control arm bushings, and delrin sub frame bushings. Idk how this translates to FWD but I will say my dad's 740 with bracing and welded rear dif handles like a go cart compared to my 850.

I put my sway bars on before doing the springs. The swaybars caused a lot of crashing and made the ride much more uncomfortable on rougher roads. When I put my springs on, It made almost no difference in comfort.

I was just wondering if anyone thought there could be an improvement by getting stiffer springs like the ipd's or the h&r's. Some of that was unnecessary, but thanks for the input.

Your sway bars don't really affect the "ride", straight and level, they should have no impact on ride quality. If it feels "floaty", you don't have enough damping to control the spring. With the Eibachs, I had the Yellows all the way stiff and that seemed to control things well. Go kneel on the front bumper, those are pretty stiff springs.

You're right, but most of the roads here are not pothole ridden or especially bumpy. It seems the roads develop some uneven waviness. In my s60r and now my v70, adding the ipd sway bars have significantly affected the ride quality.

For sure, the eibachs are pretty stiff. I was just wondering if there was some room for improvement here since I feel they could be much stiffer. In almost every thread I've read, everyone rips on the eibachs for being the softest of them all. I know the springs I got from you are the "german" eibachs, but some of the people writing these things claim to have those too.

Anyway, Ipd told me their springs are the stiffest of them all and I have read many good reviews about them, so I got 'em. I'll update here on my thoughts when/if I install them.

I'm running yokohama s-drives and I'm not too impressed. Anyone else have experience with these?

had a set and I wasn't impressed either.

If you're really looking for good performance and treadwear isn't a huge deal, BFG RE-71R are incredible tires.  But if you track it and auto-x them they'll go quick.

I returned the springs. :| You guys are right. The floatiness I'm experiencing is probably because my front shocks are on the softer side, not because the springs are too soft. The koni oranges up front are pretty firm, but I could live with them being a bit firmer.

Oh my car doesn't handle like a boat at all! Just a bit floatey on bumps and turn-in is a bit slow. But mid corner to exit, the car is absolutely fantastic. Even when I lay on the gas exiting a left turn, the car actually holds itself around the turn and doesn't immediately start understeering.
