mattk42589
I have a 2006 S60 2.5T with what Volvo calls "15" brakes" (286mm/11.26"). I would like to upgrade to a larger brake size, besides the pads and rotors, are there any other components (calipers, caliper brackets, brake hoses, WHEELS) I have to change to accommodate the bigger brakes? From what I've seen, there are four different brake sizes available for this car: 286mm, 305mm, 316mm, and 320mm. Anyone have experience with this? Thanks! Kevin.
I would upgrade to the S60R/V70R calipers, they are 320mm rotors I believe. You will need to run 17" wheels to fit them, most people use 17" Pegasus wheels
wizzard_al
R brakes are the easiest upgrade with the Peg wheels, I put in XC90 brakes, which is discussed in this Swedespeed post. But you had to do a small bit of converting the mounting bracket to work on the S60 spindles. BUT, a LOT more brake than the 305 mm brakes that came with the car. http://forums.swedespeed.com/showthread.php?219269-Upgrading-from-320-to-336-mm-front-brakes
Big Will
I have for sale Volvo's P2 320mm brake kit, all brand new (rebuilt calipers). It has the caliper brackets, calipers, pads, rotors and longer lines. All Genuine Volvo except for the rotors which are UV coated vented Brembos. And it's bolt-on.And to be clear even though I'm in Germany, the parts are in the U.S.Info in the ebay post:http://www.ebay.com/itm/201444377513
