Seaway
I need new rear shocks for my 1998 V70 T5M which has H&R springs. While I would love to get Koni's, I don't have Koni money to spend. My plan is to redo the rear shocks soon (they are Sachs and both are leaking) and then redo the front struts in the spring. I have searched for recommendations for shocks with lowering springs and have not had much luck finding any info other than "get Koni yellows." I wish I could, but I can't.Does anyone have and cheaper suggestions? I am not going to track the car, and would like something a bit forgiving for the streets around here. I have an IPD rear sway and 16" wheels. I want the car to feel planted when on exit/entrance ramps, but I don't want to sacrifice my kidneys in the process. Seaway
That certainly looks like and option. Any opinions on these with lowering springs?
erikv11
Many people here like Monroe shocks/struts on lowering springs. I have never tried them on lowering springs, but I thought they were lousy on regular springs.
Seaway
I heard the Monroe shocks and struts were popular with lowering springs. I don't mind a softer ride as the roads here are horrible, but I don't want it to be floaty. Is there a specific Monroe shock people use? Sensa Trac? quiksilver
My Saffron C70 is on Koni Str.ts all around with Kilen lowering springs. It's definitely a more sporty ride, but they dampen and ride really well; like them a lot so far.Take a look through the VS classifieds, I think I remember someone selling some used rear koni Str.ts rather heavily discounted.
