Domo
I'm chasing a rich condition based on the reading from my afr gauge and poor fuel consumption afr is 13.1 at idle, I ran a check using vida, no codes at all. I checked the readings on the oxygen sensor it read 0.88v at idle, according to the parameter description reading should be 1.0 anything under 1.0 is rich anything over is lean. My question is do you think my oxygen sensor is failing?
gdog
Actually a narrow-band (NB) O2 sensor's output should fluctuate between 0.1 and 0.9 volts; if you have a rich condition it will spend more time at the 0.9v end. So either your O2 sensor is bad, or something is causing the rich condition (e.g. leak injector maybe).

gdog
By chance does this car come with a wideband (WB) O2 sensor? What's the MY and model?
Domo
sorted out the problem the 2000 v70xc does require both oxygen sensors for fuel mixture I noticed that the rear o2 sensor read out was 0.0v because it is disconnected, my tune has it removed. but upon further research I found that the front 02 is a wideband and. just for fun since I have tried everything else trying to correct the problem. I re-connected the rear 02 and presto problem fixed front o2 now reading 1.0v rear o2 reading 0.45v and my wideband gauge confirms this now reading 14.7 at idle. its seems the tune just turned off the ability for the ecm to turn on the check engine light for a rear o2 problem
