A/F ratio

Is there a way to determine the A/F ratio based on the voltage reported by the front O2 sensor in  dice?

The stock o2 sensor is narrow band o2 sensor, which means it will only give you a very limited information. Basically, it can tell you if you richer or leaner than 14.7 and that's it. It can't tell you if you're 9:1 or 13:1 rich nor 15:1 or 18:1 lean.

What you need is to install a wideband o2. I like AEM myself, around $160. I had issue with Innovate MTX-L. Re-calibrate didn't fix it, new sensor didn't fix it. I finally gave up and put in an AEM and issue went away for good.

actually I've just been through this with my car on a 2000 v70xc the front o2 sensor as ordered from bosch is a wideband and you can tell from vida/dice by looking at the voltage it should read 1.0 volts for 14.7afr I had 0.88 volts giving me a reading of 13.3 afr hope this helps

That is true on pre-98 cars, but is not the case for 99+ cars. The ME7 cars use a wideband sensor from the factory.

This means VIDA can display the voltage (along with MAF readings, etc) in real time so you can troubleshoot more accurately.

Thanks, good to know.
