MadeInJapan Posted March 2, 2016 Report Share Posted March 2, 2016 These came out of my son's 850. it's a gray-faced unit has CD and cassette as well as the Blitzsafe iPod/iPhone adapter that allows you to play your music through the head unit and control volume and tone. It was working in great order until the car died due to engine trouble. The radio code is written on top of the radio with a sharpie so there's no trouble in matching it up with your Volvo. $100 for both plus shipping or best offer. Will entertain the thought of splitting these 2 items up. Pm me or post here if interested. I should add that with the right iPod/iPhone 4 to lightening adapter, this can be used with the newer iPhone5/6's. The actual Blitzsafe adapter needs to splice into a power source wire (easy to do) and plugs into the changer plug in the back of the SC816. Unlike the USASpec units (no longer available) you won't be able to control music selection with the head unit- you will still do that on your iPod or iPhone but the sound is awesome! This is NOT an FM modulator where the sound is inferior. The Blitzsafe unit hides away behind the radio so it's not in open view...you can then run your long cord tucked up along the edge of the center console so it protrudes where your arm rest is and keep the source of your music in your center console or pretty much wherever you want it to go. Power is best taken from the auxiliary power connector by the drivers left foot. If you're serious about it, I can check it. I think one or two are burned out but not sure as I type this. Answer me back if you're serious about this and want me to check. I'm not sure there are any burned out though. My son does not recall any and I've been too busy to go out and swap the head units to see. Anyway....
