2016 March Madness

Come on Josh.  Cal + Pitino + Smith + Hall since 1978 have fewer than K does in that same time frame.

Can you really compare basketball in the 1940s and 50s to basketball today? Four of those 8 UK championships were achieved in those two decades.

Duke has been in the Championship game 11 times in the last 40 years while Kentucky has only made it there 6 times.

Add to it Duke has the best historical record in the NCAA tournament, even exceeding UCLA.

Stats are stats, bud. Can't hear you over our draft picks each year.

You should feel happy that of NC, UK and Duke, at least the former two will make it to the Sweet 16.  After that it's all NC's play until the Final Four.

I'll agree with you on Kansas this year - strong. Where's Gary's bracket...oh wait, he'd probably have Trump in the final.

Has anyone else noticed how every player thinks they're Stephen Curry with the often fruitless trey attempts?  Seems like in the last year the college play has shifted from shots from 15-18 feet to now constant barrages from 22 feet. Most of which miss.

Ok, and Coach K has been at Duke since 1980, so of course he's going to have more than Cal who has only been at KY since 2009.  Kentucky overall has more with 8. Need Matt in here to back me up against your selective statistics. Cats by 90.

Don't sell Cal short. No one is ever going to touch his post season stats for Final Four appearances erased at multiple schools. Doing it twice was epic, when I heard UK hired him I just knew he's going put it out of reach!

For a team that's supposedly amazing, that's not much of a win. Isn't UNC-Wlimington a community college ?

Duke is going out in the second round by either Yale or Baylor and by the way things are going I'm betting it will be Yale.  I never said Duke was amazing this year.

Baylor - damn team screwed me.  Shouldn't have put my faith in them. Always expect an Ivy is going to break through the first round.

You don't pick a 12/5 upset?

I got 11/6's and 10/7's and I was on the fence with Baylor and Yale 12/5 (there's no way any of the others actually happen) but gave Baylor the benefit of the doubt. Once again everyone underestimated an Ivy.

Who does research on any of this?

Yeah, now I remember the 5/12 curse.
