mattsk8
The AWD in my 99 R was gone when I got the car (PO pulled the drive shaft and both rear CV joints). So... I have an opportunity to get a 98 XC parts car for cheap that has a working AWD. Will this bolt into my 99 R? My R has a good bevel gear and rear differential. mattsk8
Did some research and found out there are 3 different AWD versions... early 98 is all by itself, then late 98 and 99 are the same, and 2000 is all by itself (way to go Volvo ). So I'm getting the VIN from the potential parts car, and I'll figure out if it will work.

If you use all the 98 components (angle gear, DS, VC) you should be all set. The rear diff and rear axles are the same from year to year.
