ovlovturbo
hello, I have a 2002 s60 t5m with about 180k, the drivers seat electronic functions are not working, they worked fine one minute and then nothing. I checked the fuse in the side panel of the dash and it is good. the car has however been acting strange, yesterday I swapped the clutch pedal position switch and the seat worked fine and the car seemed fine, today the car would not start, the lights all came on and then when I went to start the car it just made a ticking noise as if there was not enough battery to start it, I tried jumping it from another car and that did not work, now when I turn the car on all the dash light come on and the whole think clicks like crazy without even trying to start it and the seat does not work. the passengers seat works though. I am going to try and pull the battery and get it tested but it is less than a year old. the car does sit outside in san Francisco
Ihatespeedbumps
With all of the clicking while trying to start it sounds like a battery related issue. Let us know if the battery checks ok or if you need to replace and the issue still persists.
ovlovturbo
ok sounds good, I have a trickle charger at home that I am trying the get the battery back up and running again, hopefully in a few days I can report back. if the battery charges and the car starts but the seat still does not work what should I be looking for regarding the drivers seat? Ihatespeedbumps
Would be a good idea to hard reset the vehicle when you put the battery back in. Touch the cable to the positive terminal for 10 seconds. If the seat still does not work you need to make sure you have power to the PSM (power seat module) Do you have access to VIDA? ovlovturbo
ok, so put the battery in and touch the positive to the terminal for 10 seconds without having the negative connected? I do not have access to VIDA
Ihatespeedbumps
With the positive cable hooked up remove the negative cable and touch to the positive terminal/cable and hold for 10 seconds

ovlovturbo
i got the battery to charge and installed it in the car, did the hard reset and the seat works now, although a little while after i ad gotten everything working and i restarted the car later in the day i got the immobilizer see manual message on the left of the dash! then that went away and i got a text from mt neighbor telling me my hazard lights had randomly come on, when i went out and unlocked the car they turned off. the red blocking alam light in the dash center was flashing very fast when tis happened. what could be causing this?
