the65dartguy1
I had the CEL come on yesterday on my 04 S60 2.4 NA. Code was P2405 and P2405 pending. Cleared it and drove about 60 miles, so far so good, hasn't come back. A quick internet search says Leak Detection Pump is the usual culprit. But it seems that the LDP was installed on 05+MY cars...Any thoughts on this VS peoples?
Ihatespeedbumps
Your vehicle is equipped with a LDP. That vintage of vehicle had an ECM software update that was available that lowered the parameters the ECM used to detect leakage. Volvo found out that as the LDP would wear it would cause a CEL light to set for a small leak. Volvo remedied this by patching the ECM software. I would first see if you can find someone with VIDA and attempt to run the fuel tank system test. The first thing it will do is identify the software currently installed in the ECM and prohibit the test if the latest software is not installed. Often your DTC's can be resolved with the updated software.
