What track do you speak of?

Cayuga is closer for me now, used to go to st. Thomas though when I lived in Kitchener. Still would like to take the odd trek down there, that track was always my favourite. Trying to find something local, it's hard now because I live in Barrie and there's nothing up here 👎🏻 closest track is almost 3 hours

Actually got a chance to run the car tonight for a bit of a baseline, only got two runs in as the track was packed, a little disappointed but the issue (as always it seems for me) was the 60ft. First run was a 15.9X and second run was 15.5, both with like 2.8 60ft's lol. On the 15.5 run though I slipped the clutch and actually had fairly little wheel spin so I'm not sure why it was so slow, it felt good. Anyway, plenty of room for improvement on both my end and the cars, so it's good to get an idea. Just happened to stop at the track on the way down to another thing my girlfriend and I were going to so it was a spur of the moment thing and the car was loaded with our luggage, tools and 3/4 tank of gas lol. Anyway here's the slip, I have a video too I'll try and add later, cheers

So, bad things happen when I get bored lol.

started off with this today:

Ended up with this:

Which sounds like this:

Its ridiculous but I love it. Also did an oil change, switched to synthetic. Will replace the stock downpipe soon hopefully, and hopefully a turbo upgrade soon.

Ordered the Snabb Rip kit,

Preparing for the bigger turbo slowly. I have had a recurring CEL for the front O2 sensor since I bought the car, but the sensor is recent and is a Volvo sensor. Not sure whether I should try another sensor or investigate a possible wiring issue, it is intermittent and can go away for days at a time if I clear it before returning.

I could have missed it, but are you using an gauge to monitor your afr's? maybe the o2 sensor is fine and is getting a whacky afr?

Not yet on this car, I will be putting one in when I install my downpipe. Should be no reason for weird afr's though as currently it runs perfect and it is entirely stock (minus the muffler delete)

and it had this issue before I did that anyhow. Something could be up I suppose but the code is PO134 O2 circuit no activity detected (bank 1 sensor 1)

That's weird.  It sounds like it's not even detecting the sensor, but I'd imagine it would throw an immediate code with it not connected.  Maybe check the connectors for some buildup.  You might have it plugged in, but the right bump might "loosen" it up.  The muffler wouldn't effect the o2 sensors so it's nothing with that.

Truly is a beauty though, good luck with it all!

Thanks! Yeah that's why I'm thinking wiring issue, the connection is good but it's intermittent.

Just throwing ideas out there.

Could the sensor be collecting moisture?

What angle is the O2 sensor at?

Ideas are welcome I appreciate it!

I drive almost 4 hours round trip daily so I would be surprised if it had moisture buildup although of course it could be possible, it also varies when it triggers the check engine light, sometimes it triggers three times a day some times I go two days without it triggering, I just carry my scanner with me at all times now lol. As far as angle I'm not sure as it was the PO that had it installed, but apparently it has been an issue since he bought the car in 04 and a couple sensors and trips to the dealer have not fixed the issue. He told me he thought either the wiring or the pcv could have something to do with it but because it's not a code for a reading out of range I am leaning more to the electrical side of things. I can't personally see how the PCV could effect it (or at least throw that particular code) and it doesn't show any signs of being bad anyhow.

Finally received my Snabb rip kit and got it installed tonight. Very nice kit, good instructions and fit beautifully. Only thing I was slightly disappointed with was the lack of T-bolt clamps being supplied with the kit, even though it was advertised as such and the instructions showed them as well. I recieved standard gear clamps but they seem of good quality so I am letting it go. Here's some pictures;

Old pipes with plastic coupler, good bye!

Beautiful new Snabb Goodness

Thats all Again for a little while, hopefully soon I will be able to purchase the turbo I want and a set of injectors, and really get this project rolling but I am happy with how it is progressing at the moment anyway.

Cheers

Well, I sold the C70.

But, you had to know I wouldn't be without a Volvo for long, so I'm onto my 7th Volvo, a 2001 V70 XC. I know these cars can be notorious for issues, but it has all maintenance up to date, is in great shape, has some really cool options on it and the price was right so I have decided to roll the dice on it. Hopefully it serves me well, and I'm sure I'll have some fun with it ;)

Looks pretty clean, any immediate plans?

There's a couple XC70s at Cookstown Auto if you need any parts.

Awesome that's good to know thanks, pretty much just making sure the stage 0 is good and cleaning it up some, window tint.. i ordered the cup holder that goes beside the radio but it didn't have any in it at all, the centre console has a change holder setup where the cup holders would normally be so I need to see if there's a different insert I can get for that, my girlfriend isn't happy if she can't have her coffee lol. But down the road once I know it's reliable I'd like to do a 16T, injectors and a tune,  but I'm not sure how far people would push an 01-02 tranny so we shall see. I'd also like to explore the option of installing a boost activated cutout. I don't really expect it to ever be fast just a nice daily driver. Might put some more aggressive tires on it, roof rack, that sort of thing. I'll think I'll stay away from the lifts for the sake of my axles lol
