Looks like a pretty cool platform. I'm not familiar with those at all.

I, for one, am excited to see the progress. I've seen countless v70 builds. Have never seen a charger build. Please keep us updated on progress.

I will for sure, I like to document everything I do regardless of what vehicle it is and volvospeed is just kinda my preferred outlet for it lol. It's a good community around here, and for the most part everybody respects all vehicles regardless of what they are, which I think is cool. I don't even have an account on any American car forums, I can't be bothered lol. But yes, I will certainly keep updating, i appreciate the kind words and I think you guys should like what's coming! I ordered a Charger Daytona style front bumper lip for the old girl and got it last week, I'm going to get the bumper repainted (it has clear coat peel) and install it at the same time, should help the look out quite a bit. I also ordered a Charger SRT-8 replica hood, with functional hood scoop, which should hopefully be here this week as well. I am debating on whether or not I will paint the hood or leave it black, as the wing on the back of the car is black but right now I am leaning towards colour matching it. I have also ordered 2008-2010 "eagle eye" Hid projector headlights to replace the old faded reflector units it currently has, which should help give the car a bit of a facelift and a better look over all, especially with the other goodies. I don't have any pictures as of yet as I am waiting for everything to show up, but I will of course keep updating as I progress.

Cheers!

Might be time to update that signature...

I pretty much exclusively use mobile, so I can't see it and I don't even know what it says lol. I'll have to try and get on the computer and do so, thanks for the heads up.

Good update.  I never liked the stock lights... especially with how the later models would become, albeit stolen from the Audi scene.

Nice score for that money.  Much snow where you live?  Noticing everything is AWD.

I agree, I'm never really much for reflector housings to begin with, and I got the new lights for $150 shipped so it was a no brainer. Yeah I'm in Ontario, an hour north of Toronto so we get a fair bit. But I also travel north quite often and have over a 100mile commute daily so in the winter it is good insurance to have for sure. This car won't see snow In my ownership though if I can help it, she's going to be garaged and I will just continue to drive my truck daily all year, I want to make it last and with the salt here it won't if it's on the road in the winter. The Awd really helps get this car moving though, and it's a very stout system that holds up well to power adders so I am looking forward to having it when I get down to the 1/4 this summer for some baselines, should be cutting sub 2 second 60ft's no problem at all, but we should see!

I'm really surprised it's faster than your Gt35 850. Then again I'm not familiar with your build. Glad you like the car though!

It would have been interesting, I Never really had a proper chance to run that car sadly, the GT35 let go before I got any real runs out of it, and that was when I decided to part with it. I'm sure on the highway that car would have been faster, but from a stop it's incredible how hard this car launches, and traction was always my issue with the P80's and P2's I've owned. I think in the 1/4 this car would have out ran it, unless the 850 caught up on the top end, it would be close. But this car is also bone stock still, so we have a long way to go yet 👍🏻

Sounds like a great start so far. My 2 cents regarding the painted hood is def do the painted hood. The black hood, while different, looks too tuner'ish imo. Great for the younger demographic and also to save money, but if you have the means and you're already painting other parts, I'd say go for the paint.

Everything else looks sweet. can't wait to see more

Alright, sorry for delays everyone lol but I promise I have been busy. When I was gone for my work rotation I had the transmission lines replaced, along with a fluid flush and a new filter, I would normally do this work myself but I did not have the tools required to check the fluid level in the trans, (though I do have them now) and with it leaking I didn't want to risk damage from an improper fluid level so I just got it done. After that, I threw a new starter in it, old one was DONE lol

New starter in, not the worst job but not that fun either, bad pic but shiny parts are nice;

Next up, it was time to address the headlights;

front bumper brace has some surface rust, it's on the list to be addressed but not that bad

Picked up the hood finally too, honestly pretty disappointed with the quality of it but it was pretty cheap so I guess I should have expected it.

Functional Ram Air is kinda cool though

And threw it on

Next was the Daytona / Road and Track front bumper Lip

I think it really ties things together well, and makes me rethink painting the hood red... but we will see what I do in time. I think I also still want to get a rear diffuser, but In time. I want to start doing some actual performance mods now first. I also tinted the corner lights, they were yellowed pretty bad so this was a quick fix until I get new ones, but to be honest I kinda like it anyway.

And Lastly, I had to replace the god-awful swollen factory wheel nuts, and while I was at it I decided to throw on my steelies, which I think work pretty good until I get the actual wheels I want. And Yes, I know they need centre caps, and Yes, I know it needs to be lower. It's all on the forecast 👍🏻 But for now I have to head back to work for another rotation for a couple weeks, so here are a couple more pics of the progress to where she sits for now. Cheers everyone,

Billy

Hey everyone,

not a huge update, been mostly working on my truck so I haven't done much with the car, I did go buy and install a diablosport Intune I2, set up a 91 octane tune with improved shift firmness, 6000 rpm shift points, disabled MDS and removed speed limiter. made a very noticeable difference, the 6000rpm upshifts are awesome.

I also Purchased a "TranZformer" transmission programmer, which can modify the transmission at a much greater depth, and also adds some extra features to the stock instruments, including trans temp, 0-30 and 0-60 timers, launch control and a built in line lock (though that doesn't really matter to me lol) still waiting for it to arrive, but I am excited to see how well it works 👍🏻

Then today I got tired of the black hood and steelies, so I decided to do something about it. I was going to get the hood and bumper done professionally but decided you know what, it's a project car and the one thing I suck at is body work so what better time to learn. I'm actually pretty happy with how it turned out, I still have to do the bumper so I think I will attempt that tomorrow. I also put the stock wheels back on for now, until I get something better, pretty happy with how it all comes together. That's it for now,

Cheers

Billy
