Pops Racer
An era has passed, the 95 850 wagon has been handed down to a child in need. I purchased a very nice 07 xc70. The instrument cluster has the silver rings in the gauges. The digital displays work fine, and at night the gauges are illuminated. But there is no back-light or apparent gauge illumination during daylight hours. No matter the head light setting or rheostat setting. Is this normal? ETA searched the heck out of this on the dubyadubyadubya.
thedrill
Knowing Volvo, They probably have a photo cell somewhere , like they have for the headlamps.
Pops Racer
that is what I am thinking, nothing about it in the owners manual. I was expecting brighter illumination during the daylight hours.
