Meek
Hi all. What are some inexpensive audio upgrades I can do to my wagon (96 855R)? My headunit stopped playing CDs and I do like to listen to them on occasion; My speakers aren't sounding too hot either. I tend to like some good bass and I don't want to put in anything that will take up cargo space e.g like a giant subwoofer, which I know makes the bass I'm after :). Thanks for your help. JaredR1
Install a Dolby system out of a x70. See my write-up on how to install the center speaker. Yes, the center speaker is totally worth it. On 10/25/2016 at 9:31 PM, Meek said: Hi all. What are some inexpensive audio upgrades I can do to my wagon (96 855R)? FINN
The dolby system is very overrated compared to setting up a fairly cheap system. I don't miss the center channel at all.
ryan850-t5
Exactly what FINN said. Go with an aftermarket HU, some speakers and an amp. Throw a sub in if you want more bass. The Dolby system is 20 years old. Much better options out there.
