ovlovturbo
so my car has been driving fine and today I went to the store to pick something out and came back to the car and started to drive home and it seemed strange so I checked the obd2 with my generic scanner and got the P0304 misfire in cylinder 4 detected notice. the car is a 2002 s60t5m with 181K. what could be the issue and where should I start for diagnosis? plugs, wires, coil packs? thanks

ovlovturbo
ah ok good idea, I will try and get that done tomorrow at some point. if it is the coil would it be worth changing them all out or just getting the one?
ovlovturbo
well I moved the #4 pack to the #2 cylinder and it was misfiring in the #2 now so I guess the coil is bad. I will get one new coil and see where I end up
Ihatespeedbumps
Your coils are going to fail in short order if you start repalacing them one at a time. Do yourself a favor and pick up 5 Bosch (only!!) coils and a set of genuine Volvo plugs and you'll be good to go for another 100k
