Dangriv
My Car is sounding like a diesel truck under accerleration my description is here: When I am accelerating the car sounds very similar to a diesel truck engine. This is happening under heavy acceleration speed range getting up to 30 and heavy acceleration between speeds of 30-60. The RPM range this is happening in is between 2200 and 3500 RPM. Below 30 MPH from a standing start to 25 MPH you do not hear any noise. At cruising speeds on main roads and highways 35 to 65 MPH you do not hear the noise unless pushing to accelerate hard. In park/neutral when you rev the throttle +/- 3500 to 4000 RPM you will not hear the noise coming from the engine. Checked the oil and oil is good. No oil light. No check engine light. Running mid grade gas 89 octane. Car spec is 2002 Volvo V70 2.4T Thoughts or recommendations would be appreciated on what to look at.
Midnight Caller
Try recording and uploading on youtube, it's hard to understand which part of the "diesel sound" you're hearing... I for one am imagining the clunking noise, and that would lead to some rod bearing damage.
Dangriv
Will do a video and upload. What I am noticing is once at speed I am running well. But it struggles when opening the throttle. Then when I reach speed and back off rpms are normal and engine sound is normal. Feels like a hesitation. hootie6828
I'll go out on a limb and say check your intake/charge tubes. I have seen cars with loose charge tunes that would run ok at idle and light throttle, but push off under boost and make some funny noises. thedrill
Check the downpipe at the turbo, the welding gives up on the flange and opens up on boost.

Ihatespeedbumps
Had to listen to the video with headphones, but you've got some pretty serious turbo flutter going on there. I think it's time to have a serious look under the hood for split hoses.
