ultra_runner
Here is a head scratcher. While back picked up a '95 Yellow 854 in need of TLC. When I pulled the motor I noticed that the passenger side axle has some ass-clown-rigging on the brake dust shield to hold it in place as it has been broken off. No worries, the boots were shot so I tossed them. Installed the "in very good shape" axles from my previous red donor car. Driver's side - no problem. Done. Passenger side, put the rotor on and it hits the brake dust shield. OK, assume some mismatched ghetto rotors. Grabbed my other set from donor car and same thing. So - two separate axles/hubs and two separate rotors and they are both hitting the brake dust shield? Next step is to just remove the thing but thought I'd give a shout out first. Scott C. tuner4life
The dust shields are bent. I dealt with this on my C70 before finally replacing them with straight shields. I swear I adjusted them half a dozen times and they still wanted to rub.
